World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of an item can be used to boost the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it can boost an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.
The process of upgrading gear in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests Each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specified amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's basic stats increases as it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that must be modified to upgrade an item.
It is also used as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting to queue for dungeons and raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). The average item level can be found in the character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell gear players can look at the levels of the item. It's a good gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it is able to deal. The level of an item can be used to evaluate items when looking at the inventory of a vendor.
The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the item's full description, including the ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are several theories about how the level of an item is calculated. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated using a formula that calculates the worth of an item's stats actually are. It takes into account the fact that different perks have different worth and that sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This can lead to an item's ilvl calculated, which is usually very close to Blizzard's actual item level.
This is not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped may change its stats. For example, it could add a level to the item's haste or crit score. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more ilvl than those from lower-level instances.
Item Stats
Item stats can make or break an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats on a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat modifications, which are themselves enhanced by the player's level.
Upgrades to an item can boost its stats. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. An item that is white or grey, for example, will only be upgraded once and items that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with more expensive costs.
Another way to change the stats of an item is by affixing it. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could be used to give the item extra damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down the cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving a special name to the item.
At present, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button, which is accompanied by the arrows that circle. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items that can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.

Players can upgrade an item to specific stats, or reroll attaches. The possible ranges of stats for an item are based on the item level, but all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it's a unique item or a God roll from a raid boss.
This is another aspect that can be modified by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or deciding which stats to increase. But as with base equipment, this would have to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for item comparison will not show all the stats that could be either lost or gained at the same time.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the odds of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the strength of those properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game. This is particularly useful in early game runs because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.
Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith’s overall chances of upgrading that increase with each new level of item. It is also possible to be increased with the use of anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
The shields, armor and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) for a further +40 luck or to boost the Luck of an item up to 140.
Certain items, such as the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage dealt by any ability that deals damage by five percent. These items are available in the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.
When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of successfully upgrading the item, and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations on how much the success rates can be improved and the chance of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%.
The performance of an can be affected by the luck of that item. Each item has an average success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases that chance by 5%.
The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above items in the inventory. item upgrading can cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
